Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a full refund minus a ten percent restocking fee or apply the value to purchase other CMP products minus the 10% restocking fee. You can return a product for up to 30 days from the date you purchased it.
Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging.
Solar Panels Warranty
Solar panels are warranted for 5 years at a sliding scale, 100% first year, 80% second year, 60% third year, 40% fourth year, 20% fifth year. We will ship them to any domestic location, it is your responsibility to get them from the USA to yourself if you are traveling outside the continental USA on your boat. We reserve the right at to either replace your panel or refund your money at our discretion. We will generally replace a panel twice and if your panel fails again we go on the assumption that it is something on your end and do a 50% refund of the prorated amount. We do not cover labor or any other costs for warranty replacements. Within the warranty period CMP will credit the portion due (100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%), replace or repair the product and/or parts of the product if determined to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty applies to the original owner only. Custom Marine Products (CMP) has no obligation under this Limited Warranty for products subjected to the following conditions (including but not limited to): • Damage due to improper installation; loose or improper connections, under-sized cabling, incorrect series (maximum of 4 panels) or parallel connections (maximum of 6 panels), reverse polarity connections or insufficient space for airflow • Environmental damage such as inappropriate storage conditions as defined by CMP, exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures, fire or freezing, or water damage, impact or collision • Panel was not stored in compliance with CMP instructions • Damage due to improper operation or maintenance such as under- or over-charging the battery, cold temperature charging, lack of cleaning resulting in corroded terminal connections or build-up of dirt, debris, organic matter, fossil fuels or chemicals on the panel • Product that has been modified (including but not limited to sewing, drilling) or tampered with • Product that was used for applications other than which it was designed and intended for by CMP or product that was under-sized for the application.
Battery Warranty:
Custom Marine Products warrants each branded battery to be free of defects for a period of 1 year from the date of sale as determined by either the customer’s sale receipt, or other proof of purchase plus an additional 4 years prorated. Within the warranty period CMP will credit, replace or repair the product and/or parts of the product if determined to be defective in material or workmanship. CMPower batteries are built to last a minimum of 2,000 cycles and still maintain 80% of rated energy capacity. This warranty applies to the original owner but may be extended at the customer’s request. Custom Marine Products (CMP) has no obligation under this Limited Warranty for products subjected to the following conditions (including but not limited to): • Damage due to improper installation; loose terminal connections, under-sized cabling, incorrect series (maximum of 4 batteries) or parallel connections (maximum of 10 batteries), reverse polarity connections or insufficient space for airflow • Environmental damage such as inappropriate storage conditions as defined by CMP, exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures, fire or freezing, or water damage, impact or collision • Battery was not stored in compliance with CMP instructions • Damage due to improper operation or maintenance such as under- or over-charging the battery, cold temperature charging, lack of cleaning resulting in corroded terminal connections or build-up of dirt, debris, organic matter, fossil fuels or chemicals on the battery casing • Product that has been opened, modified or tampered with • Product that was used for applications other than which it was designed and intended for by CMP or product that was under-sized for the application
